Basically I found a phone last Wednesday. Its only a Nokia 1100 so I doubt it'll be missed but basically I've called 'Home' number on the phone 5 times and left messages and nobody has got back. A friend told me Im allowed to keep the phone after a week or something....should I just hand it in at the police station? Or can I keep it?

If from the uk, if you give it to the police and no one claims it after 21days(?) they sell it on.

Keep trying the home number, if no one gets back to you after 2 weeks, you decide what you want to do with it.

Well if they sell it on....Ill just keep trying the home and if I dont get and answer Ill sell it on..Id rather have the profit than them....if thats legal

Just to clarify it came with a Vodafone sim and ive tried an O2 and they both work fine

Personally if I were you I would call the operator up and see what they say, as they would have the persons details(if they registered).

Just so you'll know, if the phone is reported lost or stolen, it will be barred from all networks within the month. You'll know when this has happened.
