River past video cleaner: Convert Mov to DV, giving blank picture!!!

I have a PAL format quicktime mov file that I want to convert to DV so I can edit it in Adobe Premiere.

Whenever I use River past video cleaner to convert it, the picture comes out blank. It creates a full size video file, with the right resolution and sound, but just a black picture.

I've tried converting other things to DV, like DivX, and some other mov files, they all work fine. It's just this one stubborn file.

It came off a mac, an export from Final Cut.
