Dbox EPG Problem

I have recently been given a Sagem Dbox by a friend, when i plug in it in to NTL i get the message 'cannot find EPG'. My friend had the box uo and running on NTL before he gave it to me so i assume all the correct software is loaded

Has anyone any ideas?? or can someone send me a Dbox manual/guide
