Just a quick question:

Is Swap Magic 3.6 compatible with the newer slimline versions? What tool will I need (a la Flip Top, Slide Card) to actually use it? Thanks for the help.

And another thing: If I just want to load games from my External HD (as outlined in a thread here), do I even need the switch or flip top?

Hi, yes swapmagic is compatible with slimline. I have slimline v14 and use swapmagic coder 3.8 with it. I also run usbextreme with a usb drive and with that no you don't need the magic keys or fliptop. I just put the usbextreme disk or swap magic disk in and also on usb drive made a folder called swapmagic, and put in usb/advance global edition and renamed the elf file to SWAPMAGIC.ELF in caplocks. It then just boots right up when usb drive is on. The only thing is not all games are compatible with usbextreme. A slide tool wont work with slimline.
