you could try a hot swap just look around for a tut some where but you have to open up the xbox to do it.(it will void waranty if any?)
but that will give you access to put the files over

Even if you burned AID, your Xbox wouldn't have been able to read the disc anyway since it isn't even soft modded yet.

While it's true that you can hot swap to transfer files onto your Xbox hard drive, I'd only recommend that as a last resort. Your best bet is to find a friend with a modded Xbox and have him put SID on a memory card for you so you can install a soft mod on your Xbox. Afterwards, you can boot AID via disc.

If you do decide to hot swap in order to load AID on your hard drive anyway, you still have to soft mod it before you can even launch it. Just having it on your hard drive won't help you at all. Either manually install a soft mod or install SID and use whatever game it is to launch it.

Also, if you just transfer AID onto your Xbox hard drive, make sure you're transferring the one that designed to boot from a hard drive since the ini files for AID are all configured for use on D:\ whereas you'd be booting from E:\ if you put it on your hard drive.

Oh, and as always, MAKE A BACK-UP. If you don't, and you mess up, you'll have a hefty paper weight. Especially if you have no idea how to fix it afterwards.

Thanks goes out to theridges for the userbars :)
