State which version PS2 you have, weather you were able to install the keys and if not what was the problem; including if you could close the lid as stated by MagicKeys.com
Ace1uk would you like to qualify your statement? it's a little too vague to address beyond the obvious statement.... and is not pertinant to the thread title.
The Magic Key II set is supposed to work with v12-v14 PS2s, which as far as I know covers the entire slimline PS2 range. This thread isn't so much for figuring out if your PS2 will work with the set, but rather if you can get the damn things installed.
I've a v14, and had no success with the apparently infamous Part C. The tiny hole near the door hinge simply wouldn't allow the piece in, so I gave up.

which is a shame. there may be only V12-V14 but there are many sub types including the V14a/b, silver, ivory, NTSC(us,jap), PAL, australian, european for each version and it seems they are not all the same!!
