i just took apart my 360 and was getting ready to flash it.
i was looking at my drives rom version to see if it was 46 or 47. mine says that its version is 0059DJ.
has anybody else came across this and can i still use the opa 7 in 1 hitachi firmware?

The exact same drive as mine. Gary OPA 7in1 2.1 will flash successfully with this drive, but you WILL need a pioneer burner. Instead, flash it with Birdy Hitachi-LG friendly flasher 2.2 FIXED with the mediacheck2 file. This will allow more burners to work with this firmware. If you need an add-in SATA card, get the Adaptec card at bestbuy (SIL 3112a chipset) and get it into modeB with the Slax CD. I can confirm that SLAX works with this chipset on this particular drive.

so i can use the garyOPa 7 in 1 as long as i have the pioneer burner? because i cant find the other firmware files (birdy)
also how do i use the slax cd. i downloaded the cd and burned it but i dont know what to do with it. also if you have time could you give me a detailed step by step procedure for flashing the drive. i dont know a whole lot of computer stuff. thanks alot
