Hi guys,
Accrooding to this guide http://www.anandtech.com/systems/showdoc.aspx?i=2610&p=3 the 6 silver torx screws needed to remove the top plastic and get to the drive is using T12 torx scredriver. im looking on line and i dont see any T12 sized bits i only see T10 and T15 no T12!
So will T12 be easy to find at walmart or where ever?

Torx T-10 is the one you need. It's what I used on those silver screws. I have a security screw driver set with 7 Torx heads and there isn't a T-12 in it. BTW you don't need to remove the blacks ones if you are just flashing. That guide has some errors in it.

Why use a flat head if you have a torx set? No need to risk damaging the screw heads if you do have to.

I have a T-8. That's the one that fits the screws on the 360 controller.

I was in a hurry and when I read the tut on how to open it I just saw screws that needed to be taken off. Instead of paying attention to what kind of head was actually on the screws I just started unscrewing like a virgin at prom. This is not a recommended method as you are right I started to strip one of them. I put them back with the torx though

no such thing as a t12, they are t10 anyways, the guide must have a misprint in it or something.
