yes, I don't think the version matters but the latest ones are 3.6 and coder.

NTSC DNAS threads.

Version doesn't matter, but avoid 3.8 Coder, get 3.6 cos it works better. And you'll need to buy it with a set of Magic Keys to block the lid sensors so you can do the swaps without the PS2 knowing.

Always 1st with 100% working PS2 Online Game DNA$ IDs!!

Or if you don't mind voiding your warranty, you can open up the PS2 slim and just tape down 2 switches.

I actually like the flip top case mod with the slim PS2, because I can still make the PS2 "eject" when I need it too. With the keys or tape down the PS2 always thinks it's closed. 99% of the time that's what you, but there have been a few times when I wanted it to think I was ejecting.

GC, read what I wrote again. To do the mod yourself, you need to open the case and tape down 2 switches. Then your PS2 will always think the lid is closed.

Memnock, didn't know the PS2 slim has a "eject" button. And, in what situation would you need to use eject?

Lift up case little just over the power button. The sensor won't be pressed in and it's the same effect as ejecting.

Sorry for the late bump. I had to eject a DVD for the PS2 to allow to me disable the parental code for the DVD player. I haven't had to eject any other time, but I think it's good that I can in case I ever need to again.
