OK I REALLY NEED SOME HELP. RECENTLY I JUST GOT HIGHI SPEED INTERNET AND CABLE FOR MY TV(ROADRUNNER). I WANT TO PLAY MY PS2 ONLINE BUT DO NOT KNOW WHERE TO START. I TRIED PLUGGING THE MAIN CABLE FROM MY COMPUTER(MODEM) INTO THE PS2 BUT THE END IS MUCH BIGGER, IM GEUSSING I NEED A SPLITTER SO I CAN PLUG THAT IN THE PS2 AND MY CABLE INTO THE SPLITTER?? ALSO CAN U SIGN UP WITH A GAME WHEN U GO THREW ALL THE SETTINGS AND SAY ONLINE PLAY OR DO U NEED TO GO TO A SITE ONLINE AND PAY FIRST??? IM VERY SORRY ALL OF THIS BUT I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO CHECK IT OUT.

well, lets see here. You can start by turning your caps lock off. Then you can figure out the proper type of cable you have because just saying "the end is much bigger" doesn't exactly give people a lot of info to help you out but, I'll take a stab at it and guess that the much bigger cable is usb? having guessed that then I gotta say you won't be able to go online with the ps2, you need a cable modem which has an ethernet connection (aka RJ45 connector) as this is what the ps2 uses. Once you get that then it's usually as simple as plugging the ps2 in and using the network setup in online games to make your ps2s online connection settings. No need to go on any sites to sign up or pay unless you wanna play something like final fantasy XI. If you want to have both the PC and PS2 online simultaniously then the easiest thing to do is get a router (of course this is considering you're connecting through RJ45)
