Guys you can't play the original maps online its not possible, If your burn it to a disc you can't fit the xbox live on files on it hence ou can't sign on, and if you have it on your HDD you can only play it with your Evox or other dashboard on xbox connect, or xlink. I don't know why you say your can play original maps on xbox live unless you mean online like xbconncet and xlink

You can mod old maps on xbl, I do it. Although it is a very long process to get it to work. You must flash your xbox dvd drive with hacked firmware and then create a raw dump of halo 2, then you can inject the modded maps, then burn it to a dual layer dvd. You will then have a bootable modded halo 2 disc which you can use to play on xbl. This is a very simple explanation.

I'm not exactly sure, I didn't research it a whole lot, just did it and it worked. It somehow must enable the drive to read backups, it may disable some kind of authenticity check or maybe the enables the drive to read and boot from the second layer. I have a tutorial I ran across if you want it.

guys, ur gonna luv me when i tell u this (well, maybe, maybe not) Im not giving any direct click-on links to sites, but on w w w. a 4 h . u s, there is a utility called mapconverter pro in the downloads section. When u download it, open it up and open up the old map that you ftp'd (ill be using coagulation). Then, in the dropdown box below, choose which new map you want coagulation to replace (ex. warlock). then click on convert, and when its finished, go back into the FTP program. delete warlock.map, and FTP COAGULATION into the folder where warlock was. now, go to the xbox window and rename coagulation.map to warlock.map, and Ta Da! Your finished
