This question can be easily solve with a little experimentation.
A lot of people seem to use and love Nero for DVD burning...but my player won't accept discs burned with Nero.
After a little research I settled on CopytoDVD, and have had no trouble since.

With Nero, did you create a VIDEO_TS folder, put the files in there and then burn as an ISO/UDF? You should do itlike that. Nero version 5.5.10.42 has now been released addressing the DVD video problem.
