Neither DVDFab nor Decrypter can fully open the DVD. DVDFab gives a message "Failed to get DVD" and Decrypter dies about 10 Vobs into the initial opening (before giving any option to do anything - this is the system recognition phase). Any help?

Using the latest DVDFab - 3.0.2.0?

Try RipIt4me - all free programs - uses shrink & decrypter too. Will handle this one also.

My DVDFab is like version 2.8, but I can't find any free upgrade. I went to DVDIdle.com and they have DVDFab Gold for 39.95. If I have to pay for the software, wouldn't it be more advantageous to get AnyDVD than DVDFab Gold?

IMHO if you are going to pay for a program, AnyDVD is tops. They are always updating for newer encryptions and it has NEVER failed me.
