i just wasted 4 verbatim dvd+dls trying to burn 2 games. one of them worked the 3rd try and the other one failed after that. i never had a problem burning games before and im using all the same settings. could it be my burner or what?

Well if you did get one to play atleast once, then it sounds like bad media or a bad burn.

i still fail to grasp why people are willing to risk these bad burns for the sake of 40 bucks. I know people who hack their consoles are quite predictably either tight with money or too young to have any but this is rediculous.

With a hitachi drive you KNOW FOR CERTAIN THAT VERBATIMS BURNT WITH A PIONEER 111D WILL WORK EVERY TIME WITH ALMOST NO COASTERS AND NO FANCY BOOT TRICKS NEEDED WTF WONT YOU JUST BUY THEM AND SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSLE!

The reason im so adamant about this is that i tried at least 8 discs and 4 diff burners and the closest i got to a boot with any method was a black screen then back to desktop. The pioneer burns on verbs boot up just as quick as retail and work seemingly EVERY time, not a bad burn yet and ive just hit my 25th

it's not a booting issue, its a burning issue. it gets to like 47% and fails
