I used DVD Decripter to rip a movie to the hard drive. I can see the all the files in windows explorer, but when I open the files in DVD Shrink's Re-author, the main movie files are not shown, is it because its 4 gigs big? Or why dont all the files appear?

Why are you using DVDecrypter then shrink?, try using just shrink to rip and reauthor with. When you use shrink in reauthor mode, all you should see are the titles which represent a version of the movie (ie..Title 1,2, 3)

Here's a guide;
http://www.jlathamsite.com/dvd/DVDShrink3.htm

If you need to use decrypter to do the ripping with, use it in file mode ripping the entire movie. Once decrypter is done, you can then use shrink to open the files with and reauthor if desired.

Here's a guide for ripping with decrypter in file mode if needed;

Thanks johnl123 that was quick, well I tried Shrink but wouldn't let me rip, so I ripped with Decripter. However, I cant use Re-author because I cant see the main movie file.

Not sure why you would't be able to see the main title/s (they reresent your main movie)? What movie is it?

If you ripped the whole movie using DVD Decrypter as shown in the guide and then opened the files using shrink, you should see the main Title or set of titles on the right side of shrink's reauthor window under the Main Movie section.

Try:
Instead of using DVDdecrypter to rip with, use a free ripper/decrypter called DVDFab decrypter, here's the download link;
http://www.dvdidle.com/download/DVDFabDecrypter3020.exe

Here's a guide on using it if needed;
http://www.dvdshrink.info/dvdfab_decrypter.php

Rip the DVD's video files to your hard drive using DVDFab decrypter, then use shrink to open them with and then reauthor. Follow the reauthor guide given from the link above.

Well it's too late now, I no longer have the Madagascar DVD, but I know the file is in my hard drive. In the re-author I just see two files in Main Movie Tile 1 and Tile 2, 569MB and 382MB respectively, and no others. I dont understand it. Oh well, I guess I can still burn the file with AVS Disc Creator.
