hi all

complete noob here so take it easy with me.

i have done a lot of reading and because of the helpful guides and knowlegable people here i think i have managed to patch my ts dvd drive.(took about 6 hours though)

because i had trouble using the x360sam 0.4 version to do the work i had a go with 0.2 ms28 compatible files and this worked. the only problem is i can only put the xtreme 3.0 firmware on the drive with this software.

i tried putting 3.3 in the samsung folder but it would not let me patch it with it.
is there a new verion of x360 sam for the ms28 drive so i can goto the 3.3 firmware?

if not will 3.0 do the job just as well?

my last question is, is there a way of telling if i have actually upgraded my firmware without putting in a backup disk.

the reason i ask is my burner does not arrive untill tomorrow and im itching to find out.

how is it going, the one way i tried is actually put a original game to see if it still boots up and second is if you have a backup xbox one game it should recognize what it is, but it will not let you play the backup. as for the only diff that i know of between 3.0 and 3.2-3.3 is the booktype, and different read speeds. you should be good with 3.0 anyway because it is still stealth.
