Gameshark 2 v4 boot?

I recently got Gameshark 2 v4, I can't seem to get it to boot games using the "start game" command. Is there someway around this?

If you mean you're trying to boot backups with it, then you can't, as it automatically ejects the disc tray (on a fat PS2) or unlocks the lid of a slimline. So the PS2 knows a new disc is being inserted & resets the TOC. You'd need to use Swap Magic next then the backup for it to boot.
