I have been learning how to back up my DVDs on my computer. I have been using 4.7GB DVD-R and I have also been using ripping software, AnyDVD, and DVDshrink with Nero on a TV series season. I shrunk everything in the DVDshrink except the main movies to save space, mainly making them still pictures. I watched Disc 1 and Disc 2 last night, no problem. Disc 3 I burned at maximum so I was expecting it to mess up, however it plays in my Computer but not on the DVD player on my big screen. Disc 4 and Disc 5 I burned at a slower speed and they also play on the computer, but not the dvd player. The only thing I can think of is that I didn't have AnyDVD running in the background while it burnt the last 3, but I did for disc 1 and 2...but that should only matter with the ripping, right?

What did I do wrong?

AnyDVD is only used to beat the copy protection. It has nothing to do with the 'burn' quality of the disc that you make. That is what Nero is for. What does your DVD player say for the discs that down work? Does it say no disc, or disc is unreadable?

is says no disc in the DVD player, in my computer it will run, but takes a while
