EVO X Display Problems

I had EVO X installed on my XBOX when I was in China and everything works great except for one thing. The display output is slightly cropped on the top and left of the screen (when you watch DVDs or video files from Media Center, play XBOX or emulated games - the screen is cut off slightly on the top and left).

The way I noticed this was some text being displayed towards the top left (like the point and life meters on old nintendo games at the top left of the screen) was cut off. Is there any way to fix this? Is this a common flaw? Would switching to a widescreen TV fix these issues? PLEASE HELP! Thanks.

I used to have EvoX, then after having those kinds of problems I moved to Avalaunch. Though Avalaunch started to get all crappy, so I just made XBMC my dashboard, and it works fine. I would just make XBMC your dashboard, because it is way nice, and easy to use. You can find a tutorial here on how to do it. Also, if you decide to do that, there is a skin called "MC 360" which makes your dashboard look and act like the Xbox 360 Dashboard. Hope this helps...

Hi, thanks for your reply. The tutorial says I need a softmodded Xbox. I'm pretty sure my Xbox is hardmodded. Can I still change the dashboard to XBMC if I have a hardmod or am I screwed?

Shouldn't make any difference whether you're hard or softmodded! You just need FTP access and change a couple of entries in your evox.ini
