The ripped VIDEO_TS file was ran through VobBlanker and gave an error message when it processed VTS_3 and an error occurred and could not continue.

@jng
I'm curious to know what movie is it? Evidently, either DVDFAB or VobBlanker has not failed me yet. I haven't come across any dvds/movies that it can't be ripped, so far all has been successfully ripped and burned.
Was there any other engines running on the background while you're ripping via DVDFAB or when you processed the VIDEO_TS.IFO file through VobBlanker? If so, then that is likely to cause some problem for you (i.e. DVD43 or AnyDVD running in the background).
If all fails and or your clueless on what to blank out (get rid off) via VobBlanker, then it's wise to try RipIt4Me. It's (RipIt4Me) just a little bit longer that's all. However, it is definitely another free and flawless method to acquire (a must have tools).
Good luck and keep us posted.

I can rip the movie with dvdfab decrypter version 2.9.8.3. and dvdshrink 3.2 will be able to read and compress it and I burned it with Nero. no problem there. But dvdshrink will not be able to read the file when the movie was ripped with the new version of dvdfab decrypter 3.0.2.0. I recommend users not update to the dvdfab decrypter 3.0.2.0, as it does not work well with VobBlanker, dvdshrink or shrinkto5. If there is any other advice that will be usefull, please let me know.

Movie was Waiting-disk 2. Is there any other freeware software better or like dvdshrink 3.2? Thanks for your help.

I've had no problems with DVDFab Decrypter 3.0.2.0 , but I rip movie only and there usually isn't any need for VobBlanker. The only software like DVD Shrink is Recode, but it's not free.

Hello buddy (creaky). It's nice seeing you around the forum again. Yes, good ole DVD Shrink is still a very valuable tool indeed. I remembered those good ole days with Shrink. Just a note here; so have you considered trying out Recode? I'm not forcing you buddy, but you gotta give Nero Recode a try. Recode is 1 time 1/2 faster than DVD Shrink and still able to implement awesome quality in result. Recode is simply a new modification version of DVD Shrink that's all.
In addendum to DVDFAB Decrypter 3.0.2.0 and to be "honest" with you guys, I haven't come across any dvds/movies that I cannot rip using this awesome free tool (DVDFAB). I've been using DVDFAB since Fengtao first introduced to the public last June 2005 and it has never let me down. I like to keep up with all updates as much as I can, regardless if it's DVDFAB or Nero, I don't have any issue with them. I guess I'm the few, the lucky, that doesn't have any bugs afterall.
Best of luck to all.

I updated DVDFabDecrypter to the latest version. Worked ok but then started having problems. (using up my storage space and causing burn time to be 45+ minutes) Did a system restore to the previous version and all was well again. Using DVDShrink after DVDFab . . . until trying to backup Click. Now getting an error code FAILED WHEN COPYING DVD: ERROR 8193 AT VTS_34. Tried AnyDVD but it made my computer s-l-o-w.
Help me . . . what do I do now????

@creaky buddy,
Fair enough. Was wondering that's all. The freebie from DVD-RB is good too. Well, see you around.

@ tigger27
Are you getting the 'FAILED WHEN COPYING DVD: ERROR 8193 AT VTS_34.' with the filed ripped with DVDFab version 3.0.2.0 or the 2.9.8.3.?
Which program are you getting the 'FAILED WHEN COPYING DVD: ERROR 8193 AT VTS_34?'
Using dvdfab version 2.9.8.3. then dvdshrink and burning with dvddecrypter should work.

The latest DVDFAB Decrypter 3.0.2.5 should be able to handle any movies/dvds, here http://www.dvdidle.com/free.htm
Other notes to keep in mind:
* don't run or enable other decrypting engines (i.e. AnyDVD, DVD43 or others) when ripping via DVDFAB Decrytper
* defrag your hard drive 2 -3 times a week
* always insert the disc/dvd into your burner first, then start up DVDFAB Decrypter
* disconnect from the net, shut off all Anti-Virus programs and firewall in prior to the ripping process

jng . . . using DVDFab version 3.0.2.0. I did a system restore with brought back the previous version, then re-upgraded 3.0.2.0 version and now all is working well. I got the error on Click when DVDFab wasn't finished processing the dvd.
Alkohol . . . what is "defrag your hard drive 2 -3 times a week?" How do I do this?
Thanks!

2-3 times a week is a bit excessive unless you are a power user...but it still needs to be done weekly if not bi-weekly.
Go to Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> Disk Defragmenter....analyze and then defragment. This process puts all the bits and bites back where they ares supposed to be after the computer has perfomed a few operations...each time a task is carried out on a PC these files get all scattered about, defragmenting puts them all back together again all nice and tidy.

@LOCOENG buddy
I did at least twice a week (Mon & Fri), lol. I guess I just want my comp to run smoothly that's all.
@tigger27
Defraging your hard drive weekly is like "changing oil" on your car every 3K miles. If you don't change the oil at all, your car won't last long and or it won't run smooth.
de·frag (d-frg) "defrag"
tr.v. Informa. de·fragged, de·frag·ing, de·frags
To defragment.
Main Entry: defragment1
Definition: to reorganize or reallocate the storage on a computer's hard disk by bringing together files or parts of files to optimize the machine's performance; also called defrag

@alkohol-
I wasn't questioning your method, just stating that a typical computer user that spends a couple hours a week on the internet and maybe burns [b]a[b/] movie or two a week wouldn't need to defrag that often...mine hasn't been defrangged in probably 4 months and you know how often I'm on the PC. LOL

i must admit, i don't defrag very often, it's a real pain on a 320gigger :)
however that PC is only really used for movies, and it's hard drive is full most of the time with movies that are 'static' on the disc (stay say there for weeks/months on end). ie whenever newer movies are put on the hard drive they're only usually going in to the empty (and defragged) space on the drive. It's only when i clear loads of films off that i bother to defrag as that's when the disc is actually defragmented..

I have been using DVDFAB for quite awhile and have had no problems on about 300 + burns. lately the last 2 movies I tried to burn would not burn at all, dma is ok. Movies go about halfway thru and stop. Can anyone give me any ideas, oh! also I tried an old DVD and it worked, just not the two (Shadowboxer and Factotum).

Shadowboxer and Factotum. Have to get them back and see if they work. I just did Behind Enemy Lines II, and it worked just fine.
