Has anybody tried backing up "thank you for smoking" dvd? I used the "free software method" [ DVDFAB + VOB BLANK + DVD Shrink + IMGBURN ]

Everything seemed to work smoothly no errors or anything then I go to play the dvd and it starts making a clicking sound a few times and then a "no disc" message pops up on my dvd player.

I have all those programs and also AnyDVD (paid/current version) so if that would help any.

i have backed up that movie, very good movie BTW. i did not have any problems with my playback. I used DVDFab, and VOB, then i burned with Nero.

used latest AnyDVD, dvdshrink and Nero, no problems at all

I used TDK DVD-R. I'm not exactly sure but I thought they were made in taiwan. I noticed that everyone in this thread has been using Nero to burn it I might try that instead of imgburn. I loved this movie too!

you need to disable AnyDVD before starting dvdfabdecrypter. if you have the latest version of fab you will get a window informing you to disable AnyDVD. same for ripit4me.

"Disable or shut off" AnyDVD, DVD43 or others while ripping with DVDFAB Decrypter, words coming from Fengtao, the author of DVDFAB Decrypter.
