This is my first post. I have copied about 40 DVDs. I always progress from DVD Shrink to DVD Decrypter. This seems to work on about 80-90% of DVDs. I am not so good when it comes to the nuances of making problem DVDs copy.

I have a few DVDs that get stuck on DVD Shrink. I click Open Disk and it does its thing. I click Full Disk backup and the analysis begins. However, on a few DVDs, when the analysis gets to 0 minutes remaining, rather than completing and allowing me to burn, it immediately begins the analysis all over again. I have to cancel to get out of the loop, but DVD Decrypter will not work from this point.

Note which DVDs have given me a problem thus far:
Star Wars: A New Hope
Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back
Horatio Hornblower Episode 3 and 4 (but 1 and 2 worked fine!!).

My drive is only a month old. I always wipe off any obvious smudges before copying.

Just a thought....
Do you have the "Deep Analysis" box checked? Shrink does two passes with that on.
Of course if it was, then every movie would get the same treatment.

What happens if you allow it to analyse a second time? Does it do it a third time?

If so, I'd definitely remove and reinstall Shrink as a place to start.
