ii backuped the origonal iso of Mortal Kombat Armageddon and wasnt happy with it it made alot of noise in my ps2 .i then rebuilt it and it seems to freeze in the begining. i burn at 4x with image burn..anyone else having this problem

well i have sat down to try this game rebuilt

only problem is on the midway screen in the begining it stalls.then when that bird comes up or crow it stalls there a little also after that the game runs fine

strange... dont get it

and it bugs me

any ideas????????/

It is likely that you are receiving bad burns or bad image writes from the original. Did you do a checksum of the image written and compare it to the iso? You can do this by creating an Md5 sum or just using cmp in linux (on windows, there is a utility too). In windows you may use ANY md5 utility to check the disc MD5 with the ISO MD5 sum. It is a lot easier than it sounds...

Anyhow, if a few bits are transposed, it will cause the MD5 sums to be different, and can cause haphazard crashing if issue is on disc. You can check the burned copy against the ISO, then against the original disc MD5 sum. This will verify where things are going wrong. Else, could be media, but always check something that is verifiable, such as checksums, before making stabs in the dark.
