Are you taking out any audio for the movie? Spanish French ect. You could be taking out the main english audio also and the only audio it has to choose from is the compentary.

So double check and make sure you have selected to keep the AC35.1/6 channel english audio.

@joe_b I would not delete any files on this film. Leave this film as is and use dual layer if compression rate is an issue for you i.e. "Picture Quality". I too have found that altering the language files often presents unwanted results (Muted special features?). I also would also say that as encryption gets tougher literally altering the audio structure of given DVD will likely cause problems. I backed up my "CLICK" DVD using AnyDVD 6.0.7.0 and CloneDVD2 2.0.9.1:p

I've tried 2 FREE methods and so far it's flawless:

(A) DVDFAB Decrypter to rip, then have Nero Recode 2 to take out all unwanted audio, except the AC3 5.1 English, transcoded via Advanced Analysis + HQSR + Assign Best Quality to Main Movie and finally burned with Nero Burning Rom.

(B) RipIt4Me to rip, have VobBlanker blank out all FBI Warnings and all Trailers, have Nero Recode 2 take out all audio except AC3 5.1 English, transcoded via Advanced Analysis + HQSR + Assign Best Quality to Main Movie and finally burned with Nero Burning Rom.

Backup came out perfect and flawless. Good luck to all.

There is no reason why you should use DL discs just because of complications with audio streams.

The commentary is not listed under the special features section in Shrink. It'll be listed in the audio section, just like every other stream.

Honestly, if you're only getting one particular audio stream, you probably just unchecked the wrong one. Don't feel bad, I've done it too. lol

There's no reason why if you're unchecking the correct audio, you'd end up with something other than what you'd want. This isn't some sort of new encryption. I've backed this movie up and have no problems with the audio. I, too, have unchecked everything other than the english audio.

Just rip it again and make sure you're unchecking everything other than the english audio.

I keep getting a error code in DVD Shrink that says Failed to read File E:/ Data Error (cyclic redundancy check) - what the heck does that mean or how do I go about finishing this - this message appears at 60% analysed and I also have Any DVD running in the background - any suggestions????

@orbgirl

Make sure you have the latest version of AnyDVD installed (6.0.6.0)

If you do have AnyDVD updated then make sure the disc is clean and scratch free. If you still have trouble with it then you could have a bad press DVD. Which in that case try to exchange it.
