Hi,

since I only have region 1 & region 4 disks, I thought to get around all this region crap, why not have my dvdburner set up to reg 1 & get a dvdrom (cheap as) & set that up to region 4.

that way I dont have to worry about losing my presets & having my drive locked finally. & I can then use the drive that correspnds to my disk to rip/read from.



what do others think?

Thats not a bad idea. However, if you use DVD Decrypter or update your burners firmware to an RPC 1 firmware you dont need to worry about the region coding.
