Heres the setup:
Total 4 PC's on LAN.

2 Client Pc's and 1 Server connect to a Hub, Hub connects to a Router.
1 Client Pc connects to the router.

All 4 Pc's see each other and share fine... the 3 Client Pc's can get to the internet with no problem. However the Server will not connect to the internet.

I've checked all the settings, to see if they are all the same... turned off all Norton and various other programs running in the background on the Server. Still nothing.

Any ideas what could be causeing this?

Thanks all!

Well, this could be a couple of things but first check the control panel on the server. Make sure that your Ethernet card driver is functioning. You can uninstall the e-card and reboot the system.

NOTE: Try connecting only that PC to the router. Ping the router to make sure you have connection with it. If you do then there is a setting not correct within the router. Make sure that you do not have a firewall on the machine. This can block access to the router.

If you still do not have connection, try installing a separate E-card. I once had a computer that the e-card went out on and didn't realize it until I made the switch. (The E-card I am referring to was built in the M'board)

First I would try to see if it is a DNS issue. Did you manually configure the IP on the server or is it set to DHCP? If it was manually configured you would probably need to configure the DNS server manually too.

Open a command prompt and try to ping www.yahoo.com. If that fails try to ping 4.2.2.2. If the one to yahoo fails, but the ping to an IP works, then more than likely it isn't resolving DNS hostnames and you will need to check your DNS settings. You can also try to do an nslookup www.yahoo.com and see if you get the IP for it. That should also work if your DNS is set up properly.

That was it, the Primary and secondary DNS #'s were gone... i just installed them and it's all working again.

Thanks much for the help!
