It should - what are your pc spcs? Like processor and ram?
That's an internal burner too - external are $60 + depending on the model.
I have the same drive.

Ok very easy to find :)
Right click on 'my computer' then pick 'properties'. In the general tab it will give you your processor speed and ram.

Your fine w/ those.
While you're at it you might also want to consider getting a new ide cable for the drive too. You can pick on there for a few bucks. You can get the round or ribbon one. Look for ATA133 - 3 connector.

I have been getting the same error as the others. (10 11 W2)
I own two Lite-on Dvd Writers. One is a SOHW-1633S and the other is a Lite-on SOHW-812S.
CloneDVD2v 2.9.0.1 does not write onto my disc on either machine.
I just keep getting the error message.
I have downloaded and installed the most recent firmare update available from Lite-on.com.
One is BSOY for the 1633S and USOS for the 812S.
I am using Memorex 16X DVD-R.
I also have the AnyDVD v6.0.8.0 installed on my computer.
Can you tell what the problem could be and how I can fix it?
Thank you for your time.

LadyTaz , does it not burn at all? or is the burn bad after you backup the DVD? and what movie are you backing up? and does it happen with all movies you try to backup? and is CloneDVD 2 transcoding the movie ok and it just will not burn?
and couple things of the bat you could try is
1. uninstall and do a clean reinstall of both programs
2. try using better blank media memorex isn't your best choice . try using Taiyo Yuden and or Verbatim also try to find the 8x speed your firmware may not be compatible with the 16x media

Yes, My CloneDVD2 is transcoding. It shrinks the movie (all movies), but will not write it onto the disc.
I just get a writing error
(writedvd 10 11 w2) it said could be cause of bad media
This just started happening recently.
I have used Memorex, TDK, Sony, HP, etc. (all name brands) with no problem. Then, suddenly, I started getting the error message. It starts to write and the little sheep says "Oh No" and the message comes up.
So I have been shrinking it with CloneDVD2 and then writing it onto the disc with Nero.
It can't be my writer, because it works with DVD Shrink and with Nero.
The write problem is only when using ClonDVD2. It just started about a week ago.
I have already tried the uninstall and clean re-install method without success.
Do you think you can help me?
Thank you
