V0020 seems to be the latest version. Which you can download it at driversguide. You have to register with them to accsses the driver. Below is the link.

http://members.driverguide.com/driver/detail.php?driverid=166763

Also for your information the specs that I have read on this drive is it is only a CD/DVD ROM it is not a burrner. If you know this then disreguard the info.

I just added the info because you brought up that model# and said you where having trouble burning an ISO.

Thank you for information on the hardware. Never realized that. I need to get hold of Dell on this, I was always under the impression when I had purchased my DIM8300 that I was being provided both a CD and DVD burner. I have two drives besides the primary (C). The first one is an NEC DVD+RW ND1100A (CD-ROM drive) and the second one is the HL-DT-ST DVD-ROM GDR8162B (CD-ROM drive). I have burned some videos before using the SONIC MYDVD which came with the system. Am I to understand that I won't be able to burn the iso file that I downloaded from Microsoft? Yes, Vista RC1. But thanks for your invaluable input, will give you an update after I reinstall the Roxio software. CSquare

NEC DVD+RW ND1100A is your DVD/CD burrner. It will Burn CD-R/CD-RW/DVD+R/DVD+RW media.

So make sure your DVD blank media is DVD+R media and not DVD-R media(Your drive does not support DVD-R/RW media). You should have no trouble burrning an ISO if you have the correct media and everything is installed correctly.

(As always you should make sure you have 1st class media when burrning. Do not buy cheap media)

Just a note...I prefer to use IMGBurn to burn all my ISo's. It's very reliable and Roxio, imho, is rubbish. It's also free.
