I have several DVD's which were recorded on with a stand alone DVD recorder, but were not able to finalize. I have tried most of the usual software on computer but to no avail. I was wondering if anyone knows of any excellent software, or hardware that i could try please. Thank you, Bobby.

Not sure if this will work for you but try ImgBurn.
Go to TOOLS/DRIVE/CLOSE/DISC.

I think the only way to close that dsic is on the burnner that you used to put it there and the same program
