alrite i honestly know next to nothing as far as hardware/software/cracking but i was thinking why cant we somehow burn discs so the ps2 thinks they are dvds and then after playing a short dvd clip this burned disc jumps into the game? obviously this isnt possible or else it would have been done by now since people are skilled enough to do things like make hd advance and rebuild ISO's. Why cant this be done?

Original retail games are PRESSED in a factory. The inner ring of the disc contains the PS2 boot code information that the PS2 needs to tell it that the disc is real & boot it up. This bootcode information is pressed into the disc & CANNOT be replicated by burning, so your home burner can't do it.
You'd need to have a disc pressing machine at the cost of 10's of thousands of £'s/$'s to do the same thing.

you dont understand what im asking... im saying you dont need this 'pressed disc' to play burned dvds so can we make a ps2 load a disc as a dvd movie and then jump to the game after a few seconds? and since im sure thats a no, why not?

I know exactly what you're saying. But DVD movies don't use a PS2 boot code. A code that's needed to identify to the PS2 that a legitimate game is inserted. It'd be impossible to switch the PS2 from DVD media playback to PS2 game mode while the PS2 is actively reading a disc anyway.
