fixing silver ribbon on the fat ps2

my friend accidently pulled his friend's ps2's silver ribbon out. its not torn or anything. i've tried to put it back but it wont stay in place. even with the small blue tab it still wont stay in place. please help.

I did that too. Just stand the PS2 upright so that the slot where it was supposed to go is sticking up in the air. Next get tweezers and squeeze the blue tab with the ribbon together and GENTLY but steadily push it into the slot.

i taped the blue tab with the end of the ribbon. you can put it in the slot easily but you can also pull and push it in and out easily. it wont stay in place.
