i have a modded Version 4 ps2 with a matrix infinity chip that i just got installed last week, i didnt really think about it til after the fact i got the chip installed that my laser wasnt reading disc all that great, so my question is if its possible to trade motherboards with the matrix infinity chip on it to another ps2, that are different versions cuz im thinking of buying a used one at a pawn shop for $65 and just trading motherboards, i would just buy a new laser but there so hard to find nowadays if anyone could help that would be great!!!

It would have to be the same version of ps2.
