hi im thinking wether or not to upgrade my 360 firware. The thing that puts me off is that i will be stopped playing on xbox live in the future and also whn i chipped my ps2 the copied games strained my laser and it eventually broke. Would this happen to the 360 laser? cheers.

as we know so far you can play on xbl fine just dont play games that arent out yet or from a different region. Also if use verbs your laser should be fine.

if they knew how they would as soon as they could. Hhaha that rhymed anyways thier putting black glue on the new drives which proves that they dont know how to stop the hack being done. Just go for the hack!!!

Go for it. While no one know for sure it looks pretty clear to anyone with common sense that MS doesn't know how to stop the hack. Want further prove? Look at this article where MS is basically begging you not to do the hack, because it will destroy the game industry. http://www.gamepro.com/news.cfm?article_id=83668 What a joke.

Now I remember playing an import version of Street Fighter Alpha on a modded PS1 about a decade ago. Playstation is still around aren't they?

just to confirm is it best to have a samsung drive if ur gonna do the hack. Sorry bout nooby questions but i dont want to get it all wrong thats the only prob, i ve worked with few ps2s but it will be first time with 360

There's not much of a difference really, but I'd say the Samsung is slightly better than the Hitachi.
