Whilst i was playing backups of free roaming games (GTA, Mercanaries etc) my PS2 often stuttered and sometimes things wouldnt load in time and things, but when i played level based games everything ran smoothly...

So do free roaming games put more strain on the laser than your standard game were it loads 1 area at a time?

No it all depends what media you use I play LCS on riteks at 4x witout a single stuter on my V14 which i bought at the start of june

No comment about free roaming games - but I can tell you that games like GTA,Mercenaries and Hitman Blood Money make your laser work super hard and loading times are like go and make a coffee and come back in 5. And I use Ritek discs. However, I notice that this problem is mainly with back ups, not originals, and depends on whether or not you have a fat or slimline PS2.

My LCS never laged or made the aser go crazy why??
