I tried to approach backing up this dvd the same way click was done. I used any dvd 6.0.8.0, shrink, the newest version of fabdecrypter and Vob Blanker nothing seems to work. AnyDVD comes close(about 60 percent done) but It can't seem to map out a section of the main movie. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

AnyDVD was updated to 6.0.8.2 yesterday. No sure if the new version will help. The majority of us have to wait until Tuesday for the new releases to come out.

Okay Ripit4me works w/fixvts,dvddecrypter and shrink. Man.. It would be great If one program can do everything.

CloneDVD & AnyDVD work as 1 program together so i would say thats 1 program that does all movies. :_)

AnyDVD 6.0.8.2 and cloneDVD2 work fine with this movie.

LAITHIEU: I dont know if you are speaking from experience or not but, I have the latest versions of bith AnyDVD and CloneDVD and this is one movie that cannot be cracked.
I have been at this a long time but, this movie seems to have every possible encryption scheme as well as phoney sectors and all sorts of otehr goodies. Looks like a group effort from Sony and dreamworks with arcos, puppet and tons of other nonsense.
I cannot get this movie copied so if anyone else has please do post how.

I tried the latest versions of ripit4me with latest version of fixvts and dvddecrypter
then i tried the latest version of dvdfab
would punch out saying something about a scratch on the disc. I inspected every inch of the disc no scratch, washed it no dice.

I just got it to work but, it required several hours of work to finally find a method that worked.
First, I downloaded DVD Fab and installed it.
Then I ripped MAIN MOVIE ONLY to a folder on my HD. NOTE: I tried unsuccessfully to rip the enire disc 3 times so I finally tried it with movie only and it worked.
Then I ran it through SHRINK just to make sure it had the proper structure. I don't know if SHRINK is even needed but, it was at 100% so it didnt hurt to run it as it didnt lose and quality by doing so.
Then, Burned it with Nero.
Good to go, but not an easy fix. Also, Any DVD did not work with shrink, or Nero recode or clone DVD. Only fab got past the issues and only in MOVIE ONLY mode. Pain in the ass kids movie!

i got this movie to work too. i used ripit4me, fixvts 1.6, DVD Decrypter, and DVD Shrink. you can google ripit4me and fixvts. they were free. i had fixvts open and ran ripit4me. (you will have to close AnyDVD if you're using it) the ripit4me opened DVD Decrypter to rip, then it processed the files, then opened DVD Shrink all on its own. i set it up to compress and then i burned it. (i just used CloneDVD to burn it) the problem file on the original dvd was VTS_01_1. this file was very slow to rip compared to the others but it did eventually rip. i am trying this on An American Haunting too (because AnyDVD was not working) and so far its looking good. thanks to modojojo

everytime i put the disc in my pc it makes this loud clicking noise every few seconds i know its not my drive cause 5 other dvds worked fine after it.Anyone know why my drive cant read the disc and it just clicks? bad disc maybe?

Shrink with AnyDVD 6082 and imageburn will work for movie only. So far I haven't found anything that will do the whole thingand I have tried most including ripit4me which stalls on the dvddecrypter part. Anyone else?

Sometimes certain DVD-ROMs just won't read a specific disc - the famous clicking noise. I usually just rip the DVD on another computer's DVD-ROM, which usually always works. Or you can try using your DVD-RW to rip the disc.

cooziest's method worked for me (ripit4me, fixvts 1.6, DVD Decrypter, and DVD Shrink). Had to do it twice, but ripped/burned/played fine, menus and the works.

ripit4me then dvddecrypter then fixvts then to dvdshrink
are you running them in a different order some how?
(ripit4me then fixvts then dvddecrypter)
do you need to run it in a different order for this movie to work?
if so how do you do that?

i think thats the order in which it runs. i can try the "1-click" method and let it work on its own. if u do the "wizard" mode it goes ripit4me, DVD Decrypter, fixvts, DVD Shrink.

I can't get this one or CLICK either. I have dvdfabdecrypter, dvdshrink, Nero and dvdclone. Is there anything other than AnyDVD? My free trial ran out and since nothing works on all of them I can't afford to buy it just now.

Just downloaded newest version of AnyDVD (6.0.8.2). Used DVDshrink 3.2 with AnyDVD running in background. Worked fine this way, also. I didn't have the new AnyDVD when I used cooziest's method. Cooziest's right-just use the 1-click method if you go that route.
