when everything else failed including latest versin of ripit and dvdfab 30.30 with whole disc and movie only i tried dvdfab platinum only whole disc failed and failed movie only
i feel like i got the superhero version of the disc.
i don't understand why dvdfab is not putting back up the 30.28 version which worked which i don't have

I got the movie to rip - put it into Vob Blanker - blanked out all the crap - burned the movie and when it get to the end of the movie for watching it - after the credits roll - or are at least almost done - it freezes up. Any clue why? I did blank out VTS_03 that was 21mb and had a ton of stuff in it. The blanked out Menu PGC's 8 to 174. Got a ton of this "may reduce a non-working menu".
I'm stuck -great burn just the end freezes up my DVD player.

What did you ripped it (MONSTER HOUSE) with? What media did you used and how fast did you burned? Freezing and skipping sounds like a media issue to me. Like I said on my earlier post that I used both DVDFAB Decrypter 3.0.2.8Beta and RipIt4Me. Both ripped it flawlessly with the end result of 7.16GB.
Since both of my sons loves this movie (MONSTER HOUSE) as much as OVER THE HEDGE, I have VobBlanker blank out everything (both movies ripped from DVDFAB and RipIt4Me), except the VTS_01 (which is the Menu + Main Movie) only. I transcoded via Nero Recoded with "Advanced Analysis + HQSR + Assign Best Quality to Main Movie", take out all Audio tracks, except the 5.1 Dolby English and English Subtitle. Quality is awesome, its Video Quality ratio is 97.1%, meaning it needs 2.9% of compressions to be transcoded only. Nero Recoded completed within 14 minutes, burned it with Nero Burning Rom, both backups came out perfectly, worked/played flawlessly on my 55" Widescreen SONY HDTV. Both backups has a running time of 1:30:36.
Again, this movie has a lot of unnecessary junks, so I have VobBlanker blank out everything, but VTS_01 (the Menu and Main Movie). Look at picture fore reference. This is my backup via my hard drive only.

I used DVD Shrink and dycrypter with AnyDVD in the back ground,burned fine with no problems.

I did the same thing with the same programs -
DVDFAB Decrypter 3.0.2.8Beta; Vob Blanker (everything except VTS_01); Nero Recode - poof - movie!
I always use Ridata +R and have never had any issues burning at 8x. It seems like it doesn't know how to get back to Menu once the movie is over. It does freeze - but acts like it's lost once the movie is over. I've burned 4 copies - same thing. Odd....

This movie has 2 false Chapters within the movie which can be blanked using VobBlanker.To find these run the movie through VobBlanker and click on the VTS that corresponds to the movie.If you scroll down the cells of the movie you will see 2 Chapters at the bottom of the movie files that are empty in space but will each run about 20 seconds each.Simply blank these and you will have no problem with this movie or other Sony movies.

I use AnyDVD 6.0.8.2 and 1click dvd copy pro. I had no problem burning Click & Monster House.

Hey,
For MonsterHouse.
I used DVD Decryptor 3.5.4.0 to rip the main movie. Open DVD Decryptor, click "mode" menu, select "IFO". Select Chapter 1 in the chapters column, in the cell column select only cell 32 (right click de-select all, then left click to re-select cell 32-at the very bottom), select a directory to save it. Let her rip.
After the ripping was done I used Nero Express to re-code and burn to cd. When using Nero express only add the .vob file, do not add the .ifo file. Nero will make it's own .ifo file(s) making the need to edit the .ifo file from the disk un-necessary. No fuss, no muss. I have no use for the extra's (useless garbage about how the movie was made and crap) all I wanted was the main movie and thats what I got.
If you want to copy the whole dvd then I would suggest following JaguarGod's HowTo at this link:

If ya do it my way, you get a 4.6GB .vob file that fits nicely onto a regualr DVD-R 4.7GB disk and no B.S extra's. Whatever turns yer crank.

Hi,
I'm new to this board but want to address the Monster House issue. I tried AnyDVD 6.0.8.0 last weekend with DVD Shrink and could not get it to work no matter what I did. Last night, I installed the update to AnyDVD, which is version 6.0.8.2, and everything worked fine. I did a full disk and a single movie re-author and had no problems at all.

THe above method works, follow ths with the wizard and you will have no problems. I have did this for many years, and have only always used DVD Shrink with Any DVD, but now things are getting a little tricky so use this for Monster House:
ripit4me,using the wizard provided. then dvddecrypter, then fixvts then to dvdshrink. All you have to do is follow the wizard. Took me an hour to burn. And I dont think I got anything special so thats it! have at it.

This movie is pissing me off.
I've tried the latest versions of AnyDVD w/ CloneDVD.Tried using them together & also tried using AnyDVD Rip to HD .
Tried DVDFab Decrypter 3.0.3.5 & also DVD Decrypter. Tried ripping to HD.
No luck w/ any of these combos. I don't want to use any of the freeware
examples...RipIt4Me, VOB_Blanker.
I payed for the softwares mentioned above & want them to work.
I can't find DVDFab Decrypter version 3.0.2.8 anywhere online.
I've seen that some folks have had luck w/ it.
Did help PLEASE..!

Yoda1bug can you give me some help w/ the way you said w/ DVD Decrypter ?
I tried following your instructions . I got lost after selecting
IFO mode. I didn't see anything about cell # 32 ?

What problems are you having?
I used AnyDVD & CloneDVD, AnyDVD & Shrink and RipIt4Me. All handled it.
I still have the exe for 3.0.28b for dvdfab if your interested.

yeah let me try the exe for DVDFab 3.0.2.8.
I don't understand it. Others have said they had no problems using Clone w/ AnyDVD.
I don't know what I'm doing wrong ? It gets about 70% copying files, then I get an error message ?
