Do you get the media error w/ Clone when it's burning or encoding?
For the download what problem are you having? You don't need an account w/ rapidshare just click on the free option and wait so many secs and enter a code they give to d/l.

Out of curiosity, what Regions is your MONSTER HOUSE? Here, try this one (DVDFAB Decrypter 3.0.2.8Beta) http://rapidshare.com/files/1893001/DVDF...28Beta.exe.html - I was able to rip successfully and backup using this version. Some of the newer versions from DVDFAB are having issue ripping due to some nasty bad/corrupted VTS on VTS_22. You'll see what I mean when look at the completed log from RipIt4Me below.
However, I'm sure Fengtao has fixed it with the latest DVDFAB Decrypter 3.0.3.5, at least he said so via version "3.0.3.2Beta" from the "history version log".

- Fix: Error 400 when copying DVD in certain cases.
- Fix: CSS decryption problem introduced in 3.0.3.0, which will
cause DVD Shrink error, or playback jerky.

- Fix: Content lost when copying "Stay Alive" (US).
- New: Updated language files.
I seriously don't know why you can't rip MONSTER HOUSE via RipIt4Me, I got a successfully ripped using RipIt4Me 1.5.3.0 with FixVTS 1.6.0.0. However, RipIt4Me did take a little bit longer that's all.
Again, like I said on page 2 of this thread "MONSTER HOUSE, US Region 1" has tons of bad/corrupted VTS, Tiny Cells, bogus junks, plus tons of junks.
**NOTE: the original DVD is 7.95GB. However, both RipIt4Me and DVDFAB Decrypter showed 7.16GB when it's completed. Isn't this ironic? Hmmmm... that's definitely loaded with junks and craps.
Anyways, here's my successfully RipIt4Me log (RI4M 1.5.3.0 & FixVTS 1.6.0.0)

Well, give 3.0.2.8Beta a shot and keep us posted. However, I still don't know why your not able to rip it using RipIt4Me? I did it with both DVDFAB Decrypter and RipIt4Me smoothly without any issue.

It sounds like you have a bad press or a scratched/dirty/ smudged dvd since all programs are giving you a read error.
Try cleaning it off. If you have another drive try that one too.
If that fails exchange it for a new one. This movie can be backed up by several different combos.
It's a cute movie though not worth pulling you hair out for :0)

That's what I've been thinking too, a bad copy.
I noticed when both programs stopped, it did when it got to the junk files . The many bank cells.

You can give RipIt4Me a try. That one worked too.
This may or may not help but good to do regularly if you're not already.
Disc cleanup and defrag. If you haven't done them recently run them then try again.
Another thing check & make sure all your drives are in DMA mode - DMA should be listed under 'current transfer mode' too.

I seriously don't know why your not able to rip MONSTER HOUSE with both DVDFAB Decrypter and RipIt4Me. Even though MONSTER HOUSE has the latest protections, yet either DVDFAB or RipIt4Me should be able to handle it easily. For me, it was a piece of cake using both methods.
The only thing I could think of is it maybe a bad pressed original disc, at this point. Best of luck to you.

Yeah I already defraged & checked the DMA mode , both are fine.
Must be a bad disc , if everybody else has had no problems w/ it ?

Yeah I think an exchange is best - may just be less of a hassle instead of trying to keep messing w/ this one.
I did it 3 ways -2 w/ AnyDVD (Clone & Shrink) and then RipIt4Me.
All were fine. Didn't try DVDFab though.
But your errors (you using the right tools to overcome the copy protection that may give the crc error) are read errors so yep still leaning towards bad disc on this.
Plus maintenance bit done.
Get a new one & let us know how that one goes.

@dabig25
If you are using Nero 6 & doing a full backup- Recode may error out on this one even w/ AnyDVD running in the background. ARccOS still gives it problems.
Nero 7 Recode will handle it though.
Clone and AnyDVD definitely will do it.

Sorry dabig25 - should have been a little clearer :) Meant that when you do get another one - Recode may throw error even w/ AnyDVD. If using Nero 6 it probably will - so not to be surprised :)

Monster house will not play on my computer. Video t's will not open.
Clone dvd2 and AnyDVD (latest versions) will not copy it. I have tried 2 different bought copies of it. I have two drives one dvd read drive and one mad dog dvd writer. Nither one will read the disk.
I am running windows xp home with service pack 2 with all updates.
I was able to copy with shareware version of magic dvd copier but original will not play.I hate to buy another dvd copy software when every one says the one I have works.

The past few Sony's I have used Nero 7's Recode w/ AnyDVD - it worked. But it did take a good 1 or 2 mins before the analysis even kicked in on Monster House.
No delays in Shrink or CloneDVD.
Nero 6 last time I tried w/ a Sony just errored out.
If you want to Recode I would rip 1st w/ DVDFab or RipIt4Me.
@2devious
Check both drives and make sure the firmware is up to date - may help.
I know when I put this one in my laptop (matshita drive) it churned and churned before it finally recognized it. But it finally did.

Yeah, I'll see what I can do about getting Nero 7. Also that's what I always do is use the AnyDVD Ripper, or use DVDFab to rip to hard drive first.
