Here is my guide for Mapping your XBOX HD to "My Network Places." You will never need an FTP client again. Also you will only have to turn on your XBOX, and double click the icon that we will create in this guide.

It is as easy as 1, 2, 3!!!

*NOTE* For this Guide, I used Windows XP PRO.

Lets Get started By Clicking the Start Button, and then going to "My Network Places."

Now just click on Network places, and then on the ICON you created.

Last night I FTP'd using the method above, as well as FlashFXP. They both seem to be about the same speed.

It took about 5 minutes using both methods to transfer the files I was working with.

*wink* Thanks BOBOXBOX

No pressure...

I actually tried the same thing last night, and to me it seemed like it was a little bit faster using your method. I transfered somewhere around 1.5 gigs, and it took about 5 to 10 mins less time, but I'll have to transfer some bigger files to get a good view on it.

I FTP'd a 2.5 GB file last night, and you were right. 10 minutes faster.

The first file I ftp'd was only 400 MB, so I could not get a clear view.

Did you ever get around to testing a bigger file?

Yo, BOBO! Any luck?

I am gonna try that other tut you sent me for setting up your own FTP server. I'll let you know how it goes. Maybe I can get it working before I leave for the Holiday.

Hey JXP2307, I transfered 9 GB the other day and it didn't take long at all. It took longer than I wanted it to, cause it cuts into the game playing time, but it was worth it. I've also noticed that transferring more than one file at a time I have problems. It will allow me to transfer two different folders, but when I try to transfer more than that it gives me the message that it can't be completed because I may not have rights to access it. If I keep it simple and transfer one at a time it does great.

Thanks Bro. Just tryin to help.

Bobo,

I noticed the same thing. I very rarely transfer more than one file at a time though.

BTW.... I still cant get my FTP site up and running. We will have to dissect it after the holiday.

Hope you had a good thanksgiving. I had a great one. C-ya next week.
