Ok I am softmoding my unmoded xbox...i have all the files and i have every thing i need...
i've got the actionreplay card(with the usb thing),i have the game Splinter Cell and the MechAssault...and the fils....
But when i put the files from the AR-Card to the unmodedxbox and it ok. then i restart my xbox and put in the game Splinter Cell. Then load up the files to try to start the Installer...
And then...I GET AN ALL BLACK SCREEN...Thats it has anyone els had this happan to them what going on what do i do....
SOMEONE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

u must of used the wrong files, i used the splinter cell files wit splinter cell game, , has to be orginal not the platnium or collectors ed

It's the orginal for the splintercell and Mechassault. i got them from like gamestop...
now what do i do... How do i get the right files then...
help!

I have been to that Soft mod tutorial but it is not working ...like i don't have the right files....so how do i get the right files????

the action replay software...there a list of save then find linux sid installer..and the save of the game ur ganna use
what game are u using??

u can go to xbins an get it, have all the files u need there, mech ass. and splinter cell, xbins becomes a good friend to you

Firstly, I use the Platinum version of Splinter Cell and it works fine. Secondly, have you transfered the files to the hard drive or are you trying to launch them from the memory card!? You MUST copy them to the Xbox hard drive via the MS Dashboard prior to softmodding!

None of it has worked...
Iam doing what it is asking me to do, I am puting the all the files like the installer and all that to the xbox hdd....
But when i get to the part where i load up the Splinter Cell profile... and then a black screen....is it the files...right now i have SID v2.0 but i am geting otheres and i will see if that helps...
has this happaned to anyone els... or is it just me.....

It is actually the Ndure installer
go to this site. click on exploits\exploits\ndure\then click the 2.0 version of whatever game you are using

Just a small suggestion, if you have any of the bonus splinter cell stuff saved on your box then the installer will not work. you have to delete the extra saves off so you are just left with your profiles.
my box used to freeze and not do anything until i removed those files. Maybe its the same sort of thing thats happening to you.
