i have found a tutorial for this involving demuxing and muxing and TMPGEnc, but it did not work for me. i tried different files and didn't work. i get to the part that says to check the AVI, but it won't play anywhere and i have DL'd the codec for it. so, i was wondering if there is any other way i can get my nsv video converted to AVI. the whole purpose is that i want to get some nsv files on to a wachable dvd. thanx in advance for any and all help.

Try mencoder or ffmpeg. If you want DVD video though you will need MPEG-2/AC3 not an AVI.

i was under the impression that you need to convert to AVI, then to mpeg. i didn't read anything about converting directly to mpeg. thank you for the help.

The latest version of ConvertXtoDVD may directly convert nsv to DVD. Take a look at this guide:
