Trying to get the fliptop for swap magic on..but for the life od me i cant get the cover off!all screw are removeed form the bottom and all sides com of easy but there seems to be another screw or something holding the lid tight in place near the cat5 input in the middle..any ideas?

there are only 6 screws on the case one is under the warranty sticker after that be gental and pop open, lift from back to front

ok got it all off now next problem! those silver things that you need to take the screws off of poped out! now i cant see how they go back together 8( the pics on the walkthroughs arent very clear..are those brackets and the spring..are they needed?

not sure what you are talking about but if it came with the lid then more than likely you will need. they can only go in one spot

Ok dumb question..i jsut got a new ps2 slim with the new fliptop lid and swap magic 3 now on the back it says i need a nosolder mod chip? what the heck is that? it didn tsay that on the website..do i need one to get this thing working?c ause it aint.

Yeah dude I did the same as you did. My old fat PS2 died so I bought a new V14 PS2 with the slimline fliptop cover back on July and it was a pain in the ass to install. The instructions weren't clear but I eventually figured out how to install it without damaging my new piece of hardware. When I tried to close the cover, the outer edges of the cover weren't completely closed and the "sticks" in the bottom of the cover weren't touching the reset buttons, etc. What I did was that I took like a very hard metal stick and I pasted it in that part of the outer edge of the cover that wasn't closing correctly to make it close more precisely and eventually it worked.

yah i nopticed the same thing..but even if i hold the side down..and try to run a legally owned PAL version of a game nothing happens 8( im trying to backup a game i won to see if maybe the PAL doesnt work ..hope i did this right 8(

oh one more thing..if i load the magic dvd and put in a normal copy of a game i won it works fine..odd 8( thats why i thought myabe i needed a no-solder chip like the packaging says. but all the sites i read say you dont

Ok guys sorry bout being such a pain but this is odd..i just backed up a game i own NTSC and the thing loads fine and plays fine..but why for the love of me cant i get a PAL original game to load? I go tthis thing so i can play PAL games that wernt released over here in the us 8( anyone have any ideas what stoping me form using this right?
