Start Your PS2 without a game disc, then go to the browser. Once in the browser insert an original Playstation Disc. Once the PS2 reads and you see the disc in the browser swap the disc for the backup. Click X on the Disc and now your playing your backup

You can also do that with any game. Make sure there is no disc in and go to the browser. Put an orignial DVD PS2 game in and you should see the disc icon. Using the swap/sliding tool or anything of the sort, swap the DVD PS2 game to a DVD 'backup' PS2 game. And the same with CD PS2 games, but you must swap it with a CD 'backup' game.

use to work for me before i got my swap magic and then chip.
the reason i bought swap magic instaed of doing that is beacuse it doesnt always work, it works like once every 5 times. so i gotswap magic then i got my chip. Although still use swap magic for my CDs.
And no, none of us are full of sh*t because it does work, you need to try it more than once and not give up straight away, only n00bs give up striaght away.

There is a fundamental flaw in this. Basically if mainly affects PAL user though (and I'm a PAL user), becuase most *good* games are available in NTSC anyway. PSone games ONLY work. I have a similar method for this using the PS2 slimline, but it requires tools.

Here it is:
Basically with this method you can only boot games from the same region as your PS2. i.e NTSC (USA ps2) can only play NTSC(USA) PSone games.
But you can't boot USA games on the PAL system and vice verca. But I found a way around this.

maybe my game backups are PAL?
is they a way to covert the games to NTSC?
i'll try it with a NTSC game becuase i'm a US gamer.
i had a bootdisc for my psx1 games, but my friend broke it:(
so i'm not sure was NTSC and PAL,got a few from a backup guy online.lol
becuase i didn't have highspeed at the time.
thank for that lil pit of info.
maybe i still have hope of geting it to work:)
i use a ps1 game for ps1 backups right?
i read that,so if thats right no need to tell me;)
thanks:)
