first of all hello!
this is my first post in the forum, and im sure its probably gonna be a silly one..im really a nub in these sort of things!

basically ive got SM coder and i want to launch import games which are NTSC format on my PAL ps2.
i read in the guide of SM that once the prog has loaded i should change the disc so TOC is refreshed, it then says that a message saying to put the import disc should appear, this doesnt happen though!
ive tried all my ps2 games and some demos and the TOC is never refreshed.
In fact the only thing i am using SM for now is to load games off my hdd.
any help-advise given will be appreciated.
thanx :)

R u using a slimline or fat ps2?
And what do u mean the toc is never refreshed?
Do you push the eject button or use the slidecard/fliptop to refresh it?

i am using a slimline ps2 with the magic keys installed.
the coder manual says that once i am in the main menu, i should remove the first magic key(so the ps knows it has been opened), then the message "insert larger TOC disc" appears, i am then supposed to put a ps2 dvd in and then put the magic key back in aswell!
a message saying that i can now put any import dvd in should appear, however the disc continues spinning and doesnt stop!no message appears at all! so this means i cannot put the import.
am i supposed to use only a p[articular kind of ps2 dvd?
thanx for replying btw:)

Hmmm, Ive done a toc refresh only once before, But that was aaggees ago.
From what I can remember this is what I did.
Loaded swap magic up, then when it stops and says insert disc etc, I lift up the the key and then it says insert bigger toc etc. So I change the sm disc for the ps2 game, then put the key back in. The disc will start turning for a while, and then it should stop again. Then you insert the backup and hit X.

Sorry I just realised this is what you did. But u say it is not stopping after you insert the ps2 game.

How long have u left it spinning for? R u using an original game or back up? You have to let it spin for a lil while, but it should soon stop...

i leave it to spin for quite a bit...i am using official ps2 games, ive tried with various ones, no success with any of em.
infact i play backups using cogswap and refreshing toc with the same games.
with cogswap it takes a few seconds, and with sm coder ive left the disc spinning for minutes..
how long does it usually take?

Yeah it dont take to long, seconds...
It might be a swap magic coder. Cause I am using 3.6...
Maybe someone else with SM coder can confirm this./
