Hey,

Just wanted to know, if the upgrade in the Xbox360 hardware talked about here: http://gear.ign.com/articles/736/736297p1.html is an upgrade on the motherboard that prevents overheating issues, or if it is a direct upgrade in the 360´s graphical hardware capabilities, so that it will get better graphics?

So it won't change the graphical performance of the Xbox360 when the upgraded version arrives? It will just be more reliable and more cool?

There will be no direct upgrade to the graphical performance,like replacing the gpu,doing that would be most cynacil to say the least,and also highly unfair to other xbox 360 owners,it hasnt been done ever(to the best of my knowledge) and ms would be idiots to put in a new gpu so that it has better quality than the old 360's.Also programming for two diffrent gpu's would be a big problem,and a waist of time,so just to clear things up,there will be no upgrade to the gpu and probably never will be,atleast until xbox 720

It depends - If you want to do a firmware hack you will have to open your Xbox360, and then you might aswell replace the fans with some better ones, then it doesn't matter if you wait until the upgrade.

If your not planning to do a firmware hack, you could wait the extra months to get a better air flow through you Xbox360 so that there is less chance of the machine burning down.
