I bought the nme360 v.1.1 modchip and installed it into my hitachi-lg drive. when i power up the xbox, the light,on the front circling the green led blinks red it runs for about a 2 minutes then the fan starts to speed up for about 1 minute and the xbox shuts off. Did i solder it wrong or what. Is there somewhere that i can get detailed instructions on installing the chip and what to do after installing it.
does the chip need to be flashed?. Any help would be thankful

Here is the website of the manufacturers, to be honest the chip in my opinion is the biggest waste of money and also you have to write the games slightly differently to that of those that are done for people who have just flashed their firmware.
But hey I hope you have better luck with the chip working than most of the people I have encountered.
Ps. I wouldn't bother emailing them for any technical support as I have never encountered anyone who has ever received a response from them
