I have been trying to use DVDFab 3.0 to decrypt this movie. NO SUCCESS! Then I've tried the highly talked about RipIt4Me and had now success.

It gets about 74% done in DVDFab and then says there is a read error w/ "abort, retry, ignore" as options to do something with. Won't work.

With RipIt4me, it creates the PSL but then as it's going through it's thing, it says "pack header not found" in the tools dialogue box showing what the program is doing.

I can't get either one of these two programs to rip this movie for me to backup, but everyone else out there is having no issues with it. Could it be my burner, computer, or something else.

PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Hi kraftypkt
Sounds like you may have a bad disc since DVDFab is giving you a read error.
Try cleaning off the disc. If you have another drive - try that one - some are better than others with 'bad' discs.

What error did you get w/ RipIt4Me - sounds like it stopped in Decrypter. A read error also?

May just need to return it for a new one if all fails.

thanks for the advice. i'll try another one, but this would be the third disc i've tried it on. Rip It does stop in DVD Decrypter. i don't know why it's having this problem. when i backed up the breakup i also had issues until i did 1 click wizard with rip it. i've thought about buying a 2nd burner for my computer in case things like this occur. any advice on which one i should buy. i don't want to spend too much on it.

If you're exchanging the disc at the same place & location that may be it. They could have a bad batch of these.
Try another location.

Decrypter also gives you a CRC or read error? Or what's the error?


For another drive - hmmm look for LiteOn, Plextor (both booktype), Pioneer (booktypes +R DL discs). If your in the US - check out newegg.com
