Well i softmodded my xbox not to long ago with the whole linux splinter cell thingy going on there had it all up working fine and everything and well my brother went through the savefiles deleting stuff to clear room and he went and deleted the Linux and the savefile for splinter cell used to boot linux (that wasnt really the problem) but now that he did that i have no dashboard whatsoever so i was wondering if anyone has ideas or hints on how to get back the original dashboard atleast so i can get the thing fixed it plays fine without the dashboard id just like it back

If your xbox is still softmodded, just run the AID 3.0 disc and all the options are there for you!

Well from what i read on that Aid 3.0 its not really gunna help me i cant get to anything about the dashboard there isnt one period and thats what im trying to fix is to get a dashboard back so i can get my mod back into it

Because the dash is gone does not exactly mean the programing is gone. You might only have lost the gui interface. i would try the AID3.0.4 first. If that does not work its time to consider hotswaping or chipping your box.

what error code do you have when you try to boot xbox live and go to the troubleshooter. I'm betting it's a 21. Most likely I think you're going to have to hotswap.
