I wrote this little guide for newbs, it took me like five hours to get my drive to work right with DVD-R media.

DVD COPYING USING TDK indiDVD 440N DUAL FORMAT BURNER. (WIN2k/XP)
==========================================================
With the recent troubles in getting the TDK Dual Format
burners to work with DVDXCopy, etc., I decided to write
up a little help thread to aid those people in their troubles.
The burner is very good, but its a pain to get to work correctly
for inexperienced users.

The first thing you should do is say no to Roxio. If you installed
it, uninstall it. We'll be using RecordNow Max 4.5.
Homepage => http://www.stompinc.com/recordnowmax/index.phtml?stp
Direct DLOAD => http://download.com.com/3001-2646-10180795.html

Go ahead and install the latest XP/Win2k ASPI drivers.
http://download.adaptec.com/software_pc/aspi/aspi_v472a2.exe

Extract to wherever... preferibly c:\adaptec.
Click Start.
Click Run
Type C:\adaptec\install.bat XP32 (XP64 for ITANIUM)

Reboot your machine.

Now... run the ASPI Checker (c:\adaptec\aspichk.exe).
It should say it is installed.

WOWPOST.EXE,WINASPI.DLL should be in
(WINXP) C:\windows\system
(WIN2k) C:\winnt\system

WNASPI32.DLL,ASPI32.SYS should be in
(WINXP) C:\windows\system32
(WIN2k) C:\winnt\system32

Download DVD Shrink 2.3
http://www.doom9.org/Soft21/Vobtools/dvdshrink23.zip.

Place DVD in drive.
Run DVD Shrink.
Choose Open Disc.
Click Re-author.
Now, just drag whatever Source Titles you want over to the New DVD area.
Click Backup.

Choose a destination for the files (in that destination, make a folder
called VIDEO_TS and put it in there) and then type in your name or
handle for the Provider ID. When you are done, hit okay. If you have a FAST PC and
you're bored you might want to check Enable Video Preview

Head on over to http://www.doom9.org/index.html?/mpg/imgtools.htm
and download imgTool v0.89 (http://www.doom9.org/Soft21/Vobtools/ImgTool_089_dll.zip)

Once that's done, you're going to need to run imgTool v0.89.

Click the button next to Select Source Dir. Find the directory you backed the
DVD to (That has the VIDEO_TS folder, dont selec the VIDEO_TS folder itself!).
Hit okay. Now choose the Drive.. select X:. Click make drive.

Now hit the DVD Image button. DVD Drive is X:\, output image file...
choose wherever you want ( I chose desktop, and named the file to whatever).
Name the Volume Title to the Movie Name. When you're ready, hit Create Disc Image.

Whala... it should start. If it says it cant find something that means you didn't
choose the folder that CONTAINS the video_Ts folder and probably chose the Video_TS
folder itself. You'll need to remake the drive to a different letter and go from
there.

When it is finished making the ISO you need to load up RecordNow Max 4.5...
Get out of the wizzard mode (Press the X).
Click Add file.
Choose your image. (Files of Type should be IMAGE, not Global Image)

If you don't want a coaster I'd suggest doing Test and if OK, Record.
Only do this if you are switching media types/brands and/or it is the
first time you're using the burner, this is what I did. It takes longer,
but its worth it.

Finally, click the little red button I'm pretty sure you can take it from there.
