Just looking for feedback. With so many choices for a noobie like me, what is the best DVD copy software? Thanks for any replies.

Most people here would probably say, if you want the easiest-to-use, go with the AnyDVD/CloneDVD2 pair from slysoft.com. If you want free stuff, probably Ripit4me or DVDFab Decrypter. For Ripit4me, go with one of the All-In-One Installer 2.5.0.0 or later installers->http://www.invisionplus.net/forums/index.php?mforum=aioinstallers&showtopic=2

-Do you believe you own your computer and shouldn't be told what you can run and do? Then say *NO* to Microsoft Vista!
-Since half the questions here involve media problems, here ya go: Only use Verbatim or Taiyo-Yuden discs (get your TYs from Rima.com, not Supermediastore or meritline). Forget the rest, no matter what "brand" they sell under. Always burn at 4x speed regardless of the speed rating of this discs or your drive. If you have burn problems with these then you have to update your drive's firmware. For double-layer discs, only use Verbatim DVD+R DL and burn them at 2.4x speed.

DVD Shrink is still my favorite

For the best quality mp3s use EAC (exact audio copy) to rip your audio CDs and LAME to encode them. Follow this guide:

That's exactly what I would say.

@ogrish

What is most important to you in your copying software? Price? Ease of use? Time to "shrink" the film?

I believe AnyDVD along with clonedvd2 because AnyDVD will remove any protection that is out up to date right now. Dont get me wrong DVD Shrink is the bomb especially for freeware. But use AnyDVD along with CloneDVD then use shrink to shrink the movie afterwards for fitting it to a dvd. Thats the perfect guide to me. You also have to consider the price per programs,quality and so on. Just like mentioned above. Depends on whats important to me. Just keep in mind now at days all programs will not create a back up due to dummy files they add to dvds so that one may not back it up. That is why i use AnyDVD along with CloneDVD.

Ask me i can answer to mostly anything...
