I dont know if that drive would work but it may if you can booktype DVD-R+DL to DVD-ROM. The Samsung/Hitach are the drives that are in the 360. And yes, you can buy some Verbatim DVD +R DL anywhere.

@Trickpat
You got an LG burner. I have an external LG 16X +- DLRW. Yours should be able to booktype those DLs as DVD-ROMs also. It's a very good burner and ripper. Buy the Verbatim+R DL discs at best buy or other B&M stores. Watch sales and never pay more than $2.00 a disc. Don't be tempted to get Memorex DLs.

what is wrong with memorex?? that is all i use is memorex. they are cheap(50 for 59.99+tax) and i think they work better than verbs(yes i have used both). media is just a matter of opinion.

You are welcome to your opinion. You'll find that you're in the minority about Memorex discs. They are not rated very good. Sooner or later they will cause problems. Being a member, I'm surprised you defend memorex. Verbs are good media. JM2C

Do disks make that much difference? i use cheap and nasty Datawrite (10 for £10) and have yet to have a problem burning my games. I have only done ten so far but as of yet no coasters and they all work fine.

don't get me wrong or anything, i am not saying verbs are shit, i am just saying everyone says memorex are junk but i think they are ok, i think the media only has to with either having a sammy drive or a hitachi drive imho

They'll all work for now. Wait 3 months from now and see if you're still praising crappy media. It's better to spend the money now and not worry later but go ahead and see...

Here in US you can get quite good media for the same price as quite bad CMC Mag Memorex. Just follow the sales at the B&M stores.

I guess i'll just ask in this thread instead of making a new one.
I have a NEC 3550a flashed with Liggy&Dee's firmware so it can booktype to -ROM,will it be ok for burning 360 games?
